Slingsby, Dr. Wright and Cris Mathews, P.A.-C. bring decades of
experience to the practice, as well as a reputation of genuine
concern for patients and their families.
Paul
L. Wright, M.D.
Dr. Wright, an ophthamologist and corneal specialist, as well
as one of only 75 surgeons in the world authorized to do IntraLASIK®,
grew up in nearby Vale, South Dakota. He currently resides in
Hermosa, South Dakota, with his wife Lana. They have raised three
children who all actively pursue their own careers. Dr. Wright
is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and gardening.
Dr.
Wright was honored in 1993 for his contribution to the field of
eye care by being inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame.
He received his medical degree from Northwestern University in
Chicago, and completed his postgraduate residency in ophthalmology
at the University of Oklahoma and the Dean McGee Eye Institute.
He is certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology.

J.
Geoffrey Slingsby, M.D.
Dr. Slingsby is an ophthalmologist and retinal specialist, providing
comprehensive ophthalmologic care with subspecialty expertise
in retinal, macular and vitreous disorders. As native South Dakotans,
he and his wife Jackie appreciate the quality of life the Black
Hills area offers. They have two sons, Jason and Taylor. Dr. Slingsby
actively enjoys flying and family activities.
Dr.
Slingsby received his medical degree from Emory University. He
completed his postgraduate residency in ophthalmology at the University
of Colorado, followed by a retinal/vitreous fellowship at the
University of Southern California. He is certified with the American
Board of Ophthalmology.

Cris
A. Mathews, P.A.-C.
Cris
Mathews received her nursing degree from the Rapid City School
of Nursing and later completed the Physician Assistant Program
at the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks.
Cris
has over 25 years of experience in the field of ophthalmology,
and is licensed with the South Dakota Board of Nursing, South
Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners, and the National
Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants.
